Fun with the Poor Girl's Photoshop

1. This first try is very simple. It was a bit too PowerPoint-ish.

2. This second try had nice shading. It was difficult to read the embossed words in the middle, but I liked how the sharp banner outlines faded somewhat.

3. This one is obviously my favorite so far, just for sheer legibility. I also increased the curviness of the banner to give it a more custom look.

What do you get when you mash-up iPhoto editing plus many screenshots plus Powerpoint? Why, a new banner for your Web site, of course.

Oh, and the heart is a free font called, what else, Conversation Hearts Sweethearts. (It's the letter "x" in lowercase, FYI.)
